The 1000 Tyres Project team are interested in reports of polluting materials on beaches, on the foreshore, in rivers and underwater.

To report polluting materials:

We can remove tyres, plastics, scrap metal, fishing gear, angling gear, shopping trolleys and many other, larger pollutants from the sea and rivers around Plymouth.

Please include in your message:

  • The location of the material, please use what3words what3words, send position coordinates or a description using local landmarks..
  • The number and type of the material, such as '10 truck tyres and a bicycle'.
  • The date you saw the material.

Why we need your support:

  • Help us remove a source of pollution from our seas.
  • Contribute to scientific research to promote the health of our seas and oceans.
  • Help educate the people of people about Plymouth’s marine pollution and to make more local citizen scientists.
